CSCS Card Guide for Fenestration Installers
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is the benchmark occupational competence standard across the UK construction sector. On commercial developments, Tier-1 main contractor sites, and public sector projects across Greater London and Surrey, holding a valid, trade-specific CSCS card is a mandatory condition of site entry. A CSCS card verifies that a window or door fitter has completed recognized trade installation standards and passed CITB health, safety, and environmental testing.
CSCS cards eliminate untrained labour on building sites, assuring main contractors and homeowners that fenestration installers understand structural load transfer, critical safety glazing zones, working at height protocols, and Building Regulations compliance.
